Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
Nyutabook is committed to protecting the privacy of every family that trusts us with their gift history. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account or host an event, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the UPI ID you provide. When guests give gifts through Nyutabook, we record their name, the gift amount, and your relationship. We do not collect payment card numbers or bank account details — all payments happen directly through the UPI ecosystem.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the Nyutabook service: creating and displaying your event ledger, sending WhatsApp receipts to your guests, and providing you with your gift history. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
3. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on encrypted servers. All connections to Nyutabook are made over HTTPS. We use industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
4. Guest data
When a guest pays through your event QR code, we collect their name, gift amount, and the WhatsApp number they provide (for sending the receipt). This information is added to your ledger. Guests may request deletion of their data by contacting us.
5. Cookies
Nyutabook uses minimal, functional cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days. Lifetime Archive holders may export their complete ledger as a PDF before account deletion.
7. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or wish to exercise any data rights, write to privacy@nyutabook.com.
